sorry for the last few days of no posts, lame tweets, etc.

we currently just got to our friend tessa’s house in saskatoon and pretty much everyone else is sleeping.

so when i last signed off, we were at a denny’s in edmonton.

what i failed to tell you then, is that right at that moment, our bus got attacked by a giant mongoose causing us to spiral into certain death until i managed to control the bus with my asian superpowers.

or at least, it’s a good story.

let’s see….

calgary was the best show of tour by far, so far…. hmmm. there were tons of kids who, surprisingly, stayed for the entire show and there was such a great response for both us and fall city fall. we got asked to move to calgary by this dude who ripped matt’s kitten shirt in the middle of our set. hah

hhhhanyways, lethbridge was the day after, and i think the night before we just stayed up till 5 am because we were at a house :)

OH. i forgot about the moustache party..

well it was a bust. compleeeeeeete bust. we didn’t even get to play cause we got there too late.

so anyways, we got there at around 12 and were gone by… say 12:02 to be generous.

felix ran out screaming, connor was like “oh yeah, peace!” and i was like “this is bad for my soul.”

anyways so lethbridge was a weird show. i think everyone in town was there (all 20 people) and we played at this old folks home. but everyone was super into the show and dancing and stuff so that was pretty sweet. that was probably one of our better sets also.

we drove overnight and hit up this home church that we’d been to before… i think it was thursday. service was cool, food was great, then we left and played a show at the BIGGEST VENUE EVER.

it was like the metropolis stage and floor. not even joking. yeah. gosh. 900 cap venue

why can’t we play there every night :)

ummmm what can i say… it had sweet sound, decent crowd, good set for both bands. oh and we headlined. first time everrrr… i think….

ohhhhhhhhhhhh yeah and i stood on a 5 foot tall drum monitor. that was pretty sick, and scary. but i didn’t fall off! :)

anyways, so i’m gonna sign off with letting you know that i’m watching tessa’s cat walk into tables and chairs because the cat has a mental condition.

it’s like, the best cat ever. sucks that i’m allergic.

more drives (yay)

we missed prince george yesterday but we’re currently in a denny’s in edmonton.

not much going on apart from sketchy promoters trying to not give us our guarantees

we missed 1cent chicken wings :( but got asian food in vancouver so that was goooood :)

i think we’re going to calgary in the morning

matt just tanked like the biggest meal ever.

we’re at a house now. John from As Bold As Lions… a band we’re playing with for a couple of our shows.

Last night’s show in Regina was pretty mehhhh. the venue was a sweet cafe style venue but we played for maybe 20 people.

After the show we started the 11 hour drive to st Albert’s. Since Andrew from fall city fall is their only legal driver, he had been up for a verryyyyy long time and made most of the drive.

anyways, i was up for a part of the drive and i sawwwww…. COWS AND HORSES

yeah.

then i slept most of the rest of the day.

except when we stopped at the west edmonton mall. There is way too much stuff there is all I have to say about it :)

The show tonight was by far the best turnout this tour… probably around 60-70 people plus bands.

It was nice to finally be listened to by people who were into our music.

after the show we went to this pizza place - 2 pieces for 3$ yay.

anyways, it’s like 3 am now.

Airdrie tomorrow. should be sweet.

Mondays are 9 cent chicken wings day in calgary so that’s event 2 of band war team sports

Yorkton on thursday, Moose Jaw on friday.

First off, 19+ shows never do well.

i think there were maybe 10 people in yorkton there and they all left.

moose jaw was empty until we played and there were about 30 kids. super sweet reception and super cool kids.

We went swimming yesterday and started day 1 of band team sports wars for the hardcore title :)

of course, we won. hah

anyways, we’re in regina now. not much else to report on though. can’t wait to get to alberta.

bye for now.

oh and my toe hurts. :( luckily it isn’t affecting my drumming

the show must go on.

27 HOUR DRIVES SUCK MORE! - Day 3 + 4

They really do.

So does atrophy.

Anyways, we spent about 27 hours getting from London to Winnipeg, including getting searched twice on the way back into Canada. kinda not cool.

Anyways, while Luca lost his mind and Felix couldn’t sleep, I dreamt that we had set the gps for home instead of winnipeg, and we got there and started picking up garbage for community service. After that, we were really late for leaving for winnipeg so I drove the bus through a house in verdun and this old blonde lady chased after us with her fist.

Then we got swallowed up by a giant mangoose in the sahara desert. KIDDING

Anyways, so we got to see lake Michigan which was siq. frig. the water blended in with the sky and the sun looked like it was in the water.

It made me super appreciative of how big God is and how small I am. I mean, I don’t get how people can believe stuff like that happened by itself, over millions or billions of years or however long it’s supposed to be. Or that we come from blobs, or stardust, or stuff.. I don’t know.

And it’s super cool that I get to do this too.

Anyways, that’s my rant for today.

God - infinity. Evolution - nada.

Cornerstone, Days 1 + 2 :)

Hey everybody,

Just got back to the house we’re staying at tonight. It’s about 3 am right now and i can’t figure out if i’m tired or not.

Sunday we left Montreal at midnight and the next thing i remember we woke up around 8 am in a gas station parking lot.

Got to London around 3 or 4 pm monday. Played for around 30 people with a few local and touring bands. Afterwards we went to this retro bar and danced around.

I’m not really sure about London. For about half the people I’ve seen, I can’t figure out if they’re guys or girls. Kinda odd… but anyways.

Quickly about Cornerstone, 23 hour drives suck!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Dirt, Loud music everywhere and breakdowns aren’t cool either

AND neither are overly keen people who’s camps are 300 yards off the road.

ANYWAYS, it was pretty cool apart from all that. Met some cool people, saw some awesome bands, broke a bass pedal, etc.

So we’re saying goodbye to London tomorrow sometime. Winnipeg is sometime tomorrow or the day after.

I’ll try to get back on whenever i can to blog this thing up :)
